Bob Mackie, the legendary fashion designer known for his collaborations with Cher, Tina Turner, and Elton John, died of pneumonia on Sept 14th.
A post from his Instagram account announced his passing, stating, “He lived his 87 years to the fullest, fulfilling his dream of being a Fashion and Costume Designer, which is all he ever wanted to do. His genius and extraordinary designs will live on forever, continuing to bring beauty into this world.”

In his illustrious career, Mackie earned nine Emmy Award wins, three Academy Award nominations, and induction into the Television Academy Hall of Fame. Mackie’s legacy of iconic work will live on forever.
He is survived by his granddaughter Alyssa Townsend, his great-granddaughters Kyla and Keira Townsend, and former wife Lulu Porter.
